11/06/2012 – Freshwater Swim

Over 55 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

First day of the third week of winter today and a little dark and dreary it was too, but only until we all arrived 🙂

Elaine, Vicki, Lori and Liz were certainly happy, skipping their way into the water together 🙂

 

 

Understandable too, as once you got in the water it was bloomin bootiful 🙂

 

 

There was certainly a freshwater feel to the water this morning after all the rain, but then as Chris pointed out, it is Lake Manly so it makes sense 🙂

I thought the duskies must have disappeared but Andrew saw three today so they must still be around 🙂

Julia was extra excited this morning, was it ‘cos she got to swim or ‘cos her Dad’s back 😉

6 swimmers realised they were better off in the water than out so they continued on for a double lap.

George gave Andrew a carton of his beautiful home-made chocolates for helping him in the water and Andrew very kindly shared them with us all at brekkie 🙂
