22/06/2012 – A Morning Festival of Colours

22/06/20127

71 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Enjoyed yet another spectacular winter’s morning.  What an amazing display of colours which James has captured so beautifully for us.

It’s so nice of Sam to get her hair done especially for us 🙂

The sun’s stilling popping over the horizon just as we enter the water

Which seems to bring out the warm…

and fuzzy in everyone…

A few swimmers were out there early enjoying the beautiful pink glow of the dawn across the surface of the ocean.  Plus it seems that Mechelle had to drag Michael and Rob across for a double this morning.

It’s hardly surprising seeing as though there were soooo many jimbles.

It’s very kind of them to dress in pink and all but really we’d rather they swam elsewhere.

Check out Lesley’s memorial from Tuesday’s swim – ouch 🙁  Thankfully that kind of trophy is rare and ‘special’.

It’s now day 22 of winter and 364 people have swum at least once which is seriously impressive !!  However, it’s even more cool ‘cos… as our tick sheet includes the names of swimmers who have swum in the last three weeks, today the names on the tick sheet exactly match the names in the winter badge challenge !  How’s that for a cool piece of trivia for you 😉 To check how you and your friends are going in the winter challenge please click here

Check out beautiful Lilou in her special B&B bib courtesy of Maureen.  She loves it and of course looks totally gorgeous in it, thank you !!! xxx

A reminder that as per Bruce Paterson’s wish we will be scattering his ashes as we form a circle off the point and sing the Gracie Fields song “wish me luck as you wave me goodbye” this Sunday at 7am, so please learn the words and the tune by clicking here where you can also book in for brekkie too which will be at Whitewater in order to cater for us all.

Happy birthday to Richard Agius today 🙂

    very cute Lilou!!
My Jimble scar is a result of a jimble sticking onto me – I had to pull it off! and it was definitely pink! 🙂 I don’t think they do much damage when they brush over you. But I was so numb from the cold the pain wasn’t too bad! 😀
This time last year the sea temp was 19!!
