152 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
were welcomed by a beautiful calm and peaceful ocean.

Every tick counts… pink for new people, blue for Shelly and green for Bolderdash. Don’t forget to tick for each swim that you do so you can climb that coastal ladder. It was a walk out to the point this morning, apart from the early dip in the shoreline ditch.

Lou and Angela are looking forward to their Kayaking adventure together that they were lucky enough to take home from our trivia night, courtesy of Manly Kayak Centre.

The water was superb this morning ! Beautiful swimming conditions, so clear and warm. The sky was misty but the sea sure wasn’t, look… you can see how clear it was, you can see right through the water.

This one’s pretty cool… It looks like it’s Francois’ head and feet with nothing in between.
They are not actually his feet, if you look closely you can see his real feet trailing behind him, but it sure looks like it 😉

There were lots of jimble rumours floating around from the lone 6.30 Shelly swimmer, Shaun and the 13 Bolderdash ‘Brave Hearts’, but the rumours were worse than the stings 😉
I’m sure you didn’t start alone Shaun, what happened to your friends… ???
There was indeed the odd jelly around, but nothing a bit of aquatic ping pong couldn’t fix. Some of the swimmers hugged the reef and didn’t even see one 🙂

3 swimmers even enjoyed a double !

The water was so blue and clear the whole way across

Another top morning ! Apparently it was raining but we didn’t notice 🙂
We have easily averaged over 100 daily swimmers for the last 6 weeks, check out the graph on the daily attendance ! Impressive hey and it’s not even summer yet 🙂

Great news !! Northside Runners is now back in Manly. New shop is now open at 23 Sydney Road. Go and check them out, show them your B&B discount card and enjoy a 20% discount on rrp.
Louise was excited to be sporting her new Rocket Science wetsuit courtesy of Northside Runners which Graham was lucky enough to secure for her at our trivia night 🙂

Some photos of this morning’s Bolderdash journey from Simon. Number 5 is a great action shot of Mark stroking at North Steyne

It must be pretty exciting up at Noosa this weekend with our blog tarts out in full force.
Jules M sent in this great shot of her, Noriko and Macca, the current world champion Ironman ! You guys make a formidable team, we should have given you some extra pink caps to take up there, Macca would rock the pink 🙂

and a great selection from Stephen too:
The Noosa sand shark

Jules M and Noriko looking out for eye candy

Seems they found some… Cody and Trent Grimsey finishing 1st and 2nd

Plus of course, the most important part of the whole weekend, the random opportunity to just simply blog tart. You’re lucky I put these up ladies and gents, there seems to be something missing… you ever heard of pink caps ?? 😉
Enjoy your weekend, and good luck in the triathlon 🙂

Hello Fellow Swimmers,
I was wondering if anyone drives to work in Chatswood after the 7am swim in the morning? I am dying to do this swim on a regular basis, but I can’t make it to work on time with the bus to Chatswood. If anyone drives that way right after the swim and would be willing to carpool, I will pay ALL of your petrol! Or if you know anyone who drives there, please let me know; I would be very grateful!
Thanks,
Lauren

Anyone up for a slow double tomorrow? Long fins and fast swimmers need not apply..

I did start with two friends but I think the jimbles ate them. Turned me into a Neville No Friends.
I can’t believe you didn’t get stung. – Teflon Jules!!

Water was so clear today, saw heaps of marine Life while we were hugging the coast to avoid the jimbles. In fact we saw the HUGEST blue grouper ever! And a pretty sleepy large wobbyGong.

Had just the best swim today and didn’t see many jimbles atall. Have been stung twice but can’t feel them now so don’t be put off guys! I did put a bit of aseline on before so that probably helped. Am doing a flipperless slow swim tomorrow Rainer, not so sure about a double but definitely up for a Boldercrawl on Tuesday!
The water seemed so silky and smooth today and it really has warmed up!

I saw a Jimble chase two people up the steps and into the car park Neville. Maybe that’s what happened.

Great Elaine. Have you down for slow flipperless tomorrow, with option to join me for slow double.
And of course the long anticipated mass boldercrawl on Tuesday!
Reminds me, I still have your purple wig in my locker. I’m sure Ted’s been missing it..

Been waking up in time for the boldercrawl each morning since I left (about 2.30 a.m. HK time) …. Enjoy the double tomorrow – I know you’ll have no trouble reaching the point and cut-off time….
Can’t wait to join the swims again on Dec 2! (Jules, give me a week or so to build up for the 6k !!)
Jon back from Adelaide this eve and then we’re off to Vietnam in the morning!

Little Sarah! Great to hear from you.. what a beautiful last bolderdash we had on Wednesday! Best swim ever. Miss you already!
Lesley kindly offered up interview for your position and we’re planning a boldercrawl on Tuesday. Won’t be the same without you though! (sorry Lesley!)
Enjoy Vietnam and say hi to Jon! See you in 4 weeks..
