Wow! Sneeze and you’d miss it! That’s January ’15, done and dusted already and now we’re hurtling into February pretty fast!

We leave behind, the Sydney festival, the slow return back to work and trying to remember after our log in’s after the Christmas break, turtle rescues and beaches closed due to sharks!

But in February, we get to enjoy a short month, perhaps using it to remind ourselves of one of our New Years resolutions “I will give up alcohol for one whole month”.

February is also time to help out …..REDFEB 2015
REDFEB is Heart Research Australia’s signature fundraising campaign. It promotes a heart healthy lifestyle and raises much needed funds for first-stage innovative research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
B&B will again be assisting this cause in 2015 by participating in the virtual REDFEB Relay and help to lap the map of Australia! Last year in February we swam over 8700 km and raised $2,200. Our aim this year will be to beat that figure. B&B will again be assisting this cause in 2015 by participating in the virtual REDFEB Relay and help to lap the map of Australia!
Last year in February we swam over 8700 km and raised $2,200. Our aim this year will be to beat that figure and raise $3,000. To view our B&B team page CLICK HERE
You can donate funds on the team page, or even better, you can create your own page where all your friends can donate towards the cause. To create your own page and join the B&B team, just go to the team page and simply click “join”. You will then be taken through the steps to create your own page. On your own page you can input your kilometers and also raise funds. All funds raised on individual pages will accumulate to the B&B team total.
And we also get to sing our hearts out at the karaoke night on 10th February at the The Novotel Manly Pacific. Come dressed as your favourite rockstar! See below and click to register.
For the romantics amongst us, ahem Chris Taylor, it’s a busy month in the flower shops!

I’ll of course be soooooo busy opening cards and buying vases for all those flowers on 14 February, that I may have to get up extra specially early before the swim that day!!
To highlight our fundraising month, B&B will be going RED on
Valentine’s Day – Saturday 14th February
when we will be swapping our pink caps for RED ones. This year, the Manly Beach Health Club has joined us and
is sponsoring the red caps. To help with your heart health, Manly Beach Health Club are also offering B&B members a free 30 min Personal Training session. To find out how to take advantage of this offer, go to http://manlybeachhealthclub.com/free-personal-training-taster-pack-enter-details/ .

Watch for more details in our blog.

Today we left from the beach and headed North.Jk explained the new route.

Today Shaun (jack) took my camera out so forgive me for the quality!

Shaun (Jack) even managed to get the obligatory underwater shots, errrrr….

The Cole Classic took over Manly today but it was great to still get in the water and enjoy an alternative route!

Luckily the benches were still free!

Thanks to everyone yesterday, raising funds for Dr Ray’s Nepal charity we raised $1,200.

Looks like it would have been a good swim today! It was freezing here in the Blue Mtns: only 9.4 in Leura last night. Nice blog today, Snorkles. How do you maintain such perfect eyelashes behind your snorkel though? Amazing. Here is something for you Manly-ites to think about: why not consider coming up to my neck of the woods for the Blue Mtns Music festival in March. It will be FUN. Lotsa great music! See you all soon. xo.
