Another magnificent swim in warm 24.7 degree water with a slight swell… Not so clear as yesterday but still loads of marine life about… and at least 160 happy-to-be-alive swimmers!

Drinky and Reg returning from their 6.30am swim… No stingy things reported!
It rained heavily at Avalon in the night but early morning at Manly Beach was bright and beautiful!
A grand total of 14 newbies today including Naomi above with her brother Rob and parents visiting from Wales.

Karen’s book launch is coming up on March 1st at Club Totem for her ‘Ageing Fearlessly’ book. Make sure you book in. There will be performances including pole dancing displays and after John Kelly’s success last night at the kareoke night he might even be the star act!

John Hiron sheds his wet suit at last!

Jane sits on Lips and gives him the thrill of his life judging by his expression!
We missed you at Kareoke last night Tayls. Here he is with John and Greg’s lovely niece Eula.

And it was Mike Stacey’s birthday yesterday but Louise joins him for a celebratory swim today.

The wonderful man who does so much to keep this friendly, inclusive amazing swim group/community going…Ian
And here is again backing up ‘Blondie’ on (blow up) guitar last night at Manly Pacific!
By the way Lesbubbles won 1st prize for her great fancy dress/performance efforts. Thank you Matt Hayes for kindly donating a 3 hour Hands-on Sightseeing Sail on Sydney Harbour for 2 people (worth $300!) His company is Sydney by Sail. Here’s their website! http://www.sydneybysail.com
Mike and Louise this morning…

And here they are last night in between Tedley, Katrina and Lainey!
I have to confess the marine life photos were taken yesterday when it was clearer!
Lovely Kingfish below

Love the way the sunlight catches the sides of the Blackfish as we head out…

Large wobbegong about 100 metres from Shelly.

Eagle Ray being harrassed by a wrasse!

Not sure if this is a Numbfish or a Ray that’s lost it’s tail??

Crimson banded wrasse

I haven’t blogged since our cake stall in aid of Dr Ray’s charity which helps restore dignity to women in Nepal. We made a whopping $1300! Thanks so much to those that baked, helped or bought. B&B go RED for REDFEB 2015
To highlight our fundraising for Heart Research Australia, B&B will be going RED on Valentine’s Day – Saturday 14th February when we will be swapping our pink caps for RED ones. So come along on Valentines Day and get your special edition RED CAP. This year, the Manly Beach Health Club has joined us and is sponsoring the red caps. See details of their special offer at the bottom of the blog.
Last year in February we swam over 8700 km and raised $2,200. Our aim this year will be to beat that figure and raise $3,000. To view our B&B team page CLICK HERE. You can donate funds on the team page, or even better, you can create your own page where all your friends can donate towards the cause.
Sorry guys Tedley is hassling me to get the blog out so have to go..

Great blog Lainey. Good to see young Michael & his gorgeous wife Lou blitzing your blog….just a great couple who love their swimming together. How goods that ? Like you & Teddles. Great fish photos. I would have been there last night but am learning how to save people on Tuesday nights at MSLSC. Good on lesbubbles for showing everyone her “true” exhibitionist self.

Lovely fish pics Lainey-Loo, as usual for you. Love the Maori Wrasse swimming over the Eagle Ray, and the swimming Stingaree. Wow, how clear is the water!

Fantastic blog as usual Lainey Loo. Some of those pics are spectacular. I like the one of the Ray especially
Regarding the cake stall big thanks to all who have also been to the A4WH Facebook page (which is: Australians for Women’s Health on Facebook) we have increased the # of people who have liked that site by over 15%. All raised awareness helps and if you like the site it means your friends will see it so helps spread the word. Big thank you again to all

I’ve been blown away by the massive support for this fundraiser for Australians for Women’s Health. Thanks to the success of the cake stall last week we can now run an extra prolapse camp in 2015. We’ve got some really big plans in mind for Nepal over the next couple of years. Your show of support really does boost our team’s enthusiasm. Thank you all so much.
