01/04/2015 – Cabbage Tree Bay to become a Recreation/Fishing Park

Appalling news has just been leaked of a government backed plan to make CTB a Recreation Park with jet-skis, pedalos and even banana boats allowed. There will be a special, ‘Come and Hook a Groper’ section for kids according to our source… Mr S Beach.

Ok it is April Fool’s Day everyone!!!  That was Ian’s idea but as he got mixed up with his blog days and I had to take over, I’ve stolen it!

It was raining and dark this morning but still an amazing swim. I dragged Charlie my 15 year old, down for a swim tempting him with turtle sightings. We were so lucky! As we searched in the special spot around The Point in between the tall palm tree and telegraph pole, Attracta and Sandie called us over! We had to wait for him to come out from his rock cave but we were rewarded. It was awesome!

Some people might think I’ve got OTD (Obsessive Turtle Disorder) but I don’t care I’m happy!

This is the 4th time in the last 2 weeks I’ve been privileged to swim with this endangered Hawksbill Turtle and he hangs around the same spot. There has also been another turtle sighting, probably a Green Turtle closer to Shelly.

The rain cleared for us today and by the time we came out of the water the sun was shining bright!

We do find a particular positive kind of person is attracted to swimming with the B&B and the best thing is we are all so grateful for getting the chance to do something so marvellous, energising, health-benefitting  and what’s more totally free! Another way you can give back and meet up with your B&B buddies is by coming along to the fantastic Art Show organised by Elizabeth aka Zab in aid of Dr Ray’s outstanding work in Nepal.
