More about Barry in a minute, but for those who missed it the morning started like any other glorious day with a picture worth framing to get us motivated.
The trudge to the point was punctuated with the usual pleasant scenery.
The carpark was nearly empty so I was expecting only a handful of go getters out to tempt the not so chilly morning.
The colour this morning was kinda cool in a summery sort of way. Definitely not the chill I was expecting.
And back to Bali temperatures with not a Jellyfish or Shark to be seen according to the early crew.
Lesley in her normal morning photogenic mood.
And a quiet constitutional walk to the point on a mid tide with next to no swell and neglible breeze.
The Swiss and French connection in fine form as always.
And off to nether end.
Across green scapes we can finally see.
A soft cloud cover and lots of time to catch up.
Our Fishy friends out in force today.
Schools and schools of little ones
And another little one catching a ride
And in the distance the man of the moment “Barry” our 10,000th swimmer approaches yonder.
And here he is with our master of ceremonies congratulating him on his first leg of many swims to come.
He even got the Lets Go.
Even in Shelley clarity on the improve
And on the homeward slide, the green carpet comes out
Really Green today
Last strokes to breakfast
This morning a demure affair but no doubles.
And even Barry made it back the long way saving himself for the next swim.
That 10,000 people have been swum and conquered the South Steyne to Shelley is number worth celebrating.
Many times over
And not to forget Bronwyn Morris who is passionate about cleaning up the plastics and rubish that litter Manly Cove. if you see her do consider signing her petition. Its a good cause and something we could all help with.
Till next time. Be good.

Great colours Brian! What a stunning morning.
Ba-rry! Ba-rry! Ba-rry! Yay!
He seemed to fit in nicely with the bnb’s- with his quip at Shelley about us all being nuts.

Fab fish pics Brian. And there WERE some doubles – Peter Ley did a double and he said there were about 6 double-crossers (of CTB, that is).
