Yes, that’s right, as the Eurovision is blasting into our lounges, I joined 116 others and swam instead of listening to singers and casting votes with family members this morning.

We have so many nations supporting our B&B group, we could almost set up our own Eurovision contest.

Being away for 3.5 weeks, I was keen to get back and hear / see what’s changed ……or not.
The waves were back today, but not as big as yesterday.

6:45am and there are a few gathering.

No change – John Bond takes the temperature on a daily basis. A cosy 19.7 this morning.

Change – a fun run, heading to Shelly beach.

No change – waves and frivolity.

No Change – swimmers caught posing …..

No change – more arty shots.

No change – Let’s go……..

No change – the cuttlefish, ever present this time of year.

No change – post swim catch up, laughs, banana bread and Sterling posing.

Have a great Sunday everyone, enjoy the fact that we don’t change – B&B swimmers are here 365 days a year.
Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

While warming my hands at the heater outside Whitewater this morning I was chatting to today’s only Newbie – Aki,from Tokyo, doing the same thing. There is a great pic of him in the Blog – someone should tell him so he can keep it as a memento of today (I won’t be swimming tomorrow).
Today I found some goggles left under the tree: black/dark grey Speedos. I’ll bring them on Tuesday.

Another triumph for B&B photographers: Mark at the OzMus has added Nick’s 2 great pics of Flutemouths to the website:

http://australianmuseum.net.au/image/rough-flutemouth-fistualria-petimba
He says: “While I can’t be 100% sure, I think that your two flutemouth shots show the Rough Flutemouth, Fistularia petimba. Thank you as always.”

Did anyone pick up Sparkles’s grey B&B hoodie this morning? She left it on the bench to the left of the Surf Club and it was gone when she returned after the swim. It has her awesome collection of badges on it – unmistakeable!

Hi Jane, Yes I’m not sure why the Tues monthly dinner information on the speaker (me!) and link not in the blog. Hopefully from tomorrow it will be. (Snorkles did JK give you the info or do bloggers just copy from B&B website?) I can email the bloggers to give the blurb if the bloggers need.
Here is the link to the B&B website to book:

Yes I met Aki this morning he seemed to be enjoying the swim at beginning and end. We are in the photo on blog together. Does anyone keep lost property for B and B? I lost a fluffy grey wooly cap thing this morning and left my blue and yellow fins last week.
Thanks Lea

Hi Annie -yep there were a myriad of emails about the bottom of the blog, but I just needed to get it out ASAP this morning.
Not sure when your dinner is, etc – being away not totally on top of it all yet!
Getting the blog out was my no.1 priority – good work on the link.

Hey Lea, generally articles are usually handed in to one of the main regulars. Perhaps ask the person taking photos of newbies if they can point out someone to help you during the week
