Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 9th June, 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Annie Sophia – Revive My Style.

Wonderful blog Shelly! You captured the mood of the morning beautifully. Wednesday is a fun morning to swim at 6.30am with the Balmoral swimmers, Tri-Club & “Cammeray girls” making a splash. I especially love the stat at the end of this blog…I’m on the verge of outflanking the (Mc)Knight! “Poppy” now is my inspiration… What a legend!
Yes I would love a ‘Madonna’ mic…need all my limbs to present. No Madonna cones, thank you Shelly.
I would also like to thank the good Samaritan lady who gathered up my www togs, fins and goggles and left them in the change room for me to swoop by and collect. I will hug you fiercely tomorrow.

LSA aka dear Sarah and Jon, thank you so much for your kind and generous offer!! You amaze me!!! Let’s hope my hoodie turns up. Apart from treasured 500 & 1000km badges I had a lovely sea Shepard badge (my lame attempt to partake of the whale swim…the only winter swim I missed that year!!).

The flowers are for Jacqui who is the Mum of our own Charlie and her sister Kristy
C&K are the lovely sisters who helped me overcome my fear, swim around the point and become a B&B er. Jacqui their Mum was a regular fixture at that point on the beach as she watched the girls and her grandchildren. Sadly Jacqui died unexpectedly on Sunday morning. Vale to a great Mum and Grandmother and love to Charlie, Kristy and their families

Hi Sparkles, a very little thing…. I’ve written to Ian in case he hasn’t read, so if it doesn’t turn up, we’ll do what we can, but it may need someone else to source another sea Shepard badge (unless I can persuade Ian to let you have the one remaining whale badge which Jon didn’t claim!….)
