At this time of the year I often feel Mother Nature is holding her breath as late Summer eases into Autumn. The air is often still and close and humid with barely a puff of breeze, especialy in the morning.Any evening storms are most welcome, unless you’re a pet who’s terrified of them.

I walked past a birthday presentation at the Drinks Station. Can I remember the name of the birthday boy? Sorry!!!
In the change room I got word that the swim from Shelly was the nicest so I headed there until confronted by the photographer’s nightmare
but was cheered up by the sight of Lainey out and about with old friend of the B&B Bryon who has been living overseas with his family for the past few years and is looking to return.
This is a fish free blog but there are plenty of fish in the sea I’m told.
Jules is still here and like all this morning’s swimmers amassed an impressive collection of seaweed in her swimsuit
The Festival of Ian continues. Today is his actual birthday, it is a big one. He is 10 years older than I am and I very much hope that in 10 years’ time I’ll be driving myself down to Manly and doing singles, doubles, triples etc. I promise I’ll be more covered though haha

BADGE CEREMONY CANCELLED
Due to a lack of participants, the Badge Ceremony on Sunday 15th March has been cancelled. Never fear, the badges will still be available on that date at the benches (just north of the surf club) from 8 am to 9am. You will be able to pay with cash or credit card on that date ($10 per badge). Although this is not as exciting as the badge ceremony, we will attempt to present your badge to you with as much pomp and ceremony as circumstances allow (once you have paid your money). $5 from the sale of each badge will still go to Royal Far West, so please try to get there on the day so we can maximise our donation.
