Today was a beautiful welcome back to the bay for me. Water temperature is 23 degrees and tide was low- it’s not often we walk to the point. No big surf , just a few gentle waves, lots of seaweed on the beach and in the shallows.
The bay was full of marine life : I saw an eagle ray, a large school of yellow tail, the odd groper, and at the end of the swim a lone and small dusky whaler with a long fishing line attached. He was swimming back and forth in the shallows and at the point .
A nice big turnout of people swimming, I missed the main group at Shelly cos I’m slower and chatted to someone in the middle. I managed to snap a few people milling before they headed back.
It’s a warm day today, keep cool and enjoy the weekend. Don’t forget trivia night coming up,
The bay is alive.
