Work Life Balance, or Reasons to be Cheerful

29/01/20260

Workout, Vitamin Sea, Salt water endorphins, all before work – tick tick tick. Just one of the wonderful things I saw this morning.

First swim since all the alarm(s), she was bubbling with joy

This made me happy

Nothing but her and the ocean

Come along, have some fun and donate to a truly worthy cause. Some people in our corner of paradise are doing it tough.

Special shout-out to David C who saw a Dusky at the Point this morning

I had an interesting conversation at home last night, and also here this morning, around maintaining health as we age. Ocean swimming is wonderful for the heart and the spirit but we also need to look after our bones and muscles and flexibility. Being a music nerd it brought to mind a superlatively brilliant album from the early 70s. An Aussie album. Free Fall Through Featherless Flight by Jeannie Lewis. I was especially reminded of this track and it’s something I try to live by. Here’s the track and also the poem, by Dylan Thomas. Nothing to do with gym work

Have a great day.
