5.10.2019 The sun wasn’t out but the swimmers were ….

Hi I’m Toby, guest correspondent for the Blog today, a day for the perspective of a 12 year old.

Mum, Roz and I had a chat on our Cammeray to Manly commute, catching up on the weeks ins and outs.

It was gloomy and overcast today day however the Bold and the Beautiful came out in force and brought the light with them.  As rain started to spit down the air was filled with squeals as the 6:30 crew of which I was one, edged into the morning ice bath.

The water was flat as flat, and crisp, the rain was heavy on the way back, never two swims the same at Manly. The cuttlefish was out in force at the point and there were lots of little fish.

Snugged into the middle of the pack, I swam in the company of many, my favorite was to swim in the ocean, it keeps the ‘shark music’ turned down and my head enjoying the jaunt to Shelly and back.

After a beautiful swim the 6:30 crew jump into there inviting trackies and warm clothes and the army of 7 o’clockers descended into the bay. At a little after seven some of the 6:30 group were seen surreptitiously sneaking a cheeky brownie trying to reward there nervous system for pretending they weren’t cold.  The brownies in question were from our amazing drought relief stall which will also be open tomorrow, raising much need rural communities. A great Saturday swim with rain, was not holding anyone in the mighty pink back , see everyone next time.

MORE CAKES TOMORROW…DONATE, DONATE….

Lots of swimmers

Water temp was cool but lovely
