Fantastic, I got the badge. That bloody badge! On the plus side I feel a lot fitter than i did 2 months ago and my confidence in open water has increased ten fold. Thanks Lin for swimming with me everyday, Thanks Julie for running a great group and thanks to the rest of B&B for being additional shark bait while I’m swimming. next in my sights…. A SUMMER BADGE!

I love Spring time. All those whales heading South with their babies. Lots more of those land based beings splashing around drawing attention to themselves too. Not just yummy mummies!

Has to rate as one of the top swims of this winter session – nice sunshine with the water very smooth and clear at 17.9 deg. The adventure swim out to the Bower made it an even better way to finish off our last swim for the season. Congratulations to all of the swimmers who qualified for the winter badge – see you in the spring.

Awesome swim this morning, have never ventured out to the Bower before not even snorkeling! Great finish to the winter swims.
Thanks to Julie and Michael for the encouragement and dedication to running and organising this great group of people.

Wow! Have a look at the ‘wall of fame’. There are actually shots of people up there that you can recognise!! What a fine looking bunch.

Wonderful adventure over the Bower and into the blue this morning. Saw the biggest blue grouper in the deep, clear water out there. B&B is like swimming in colour after years of swimming in black and white.
Thanks to Julie for dreaming it up and making it happen (and for encouraging me to swim the last eight straight to qualify for the badge). Thanks to all B&B for good company on land and at sea.

What an absolutely fantastic swim this morning. I could not stop telling everybody at work that I swam out to the Bower and further! What a sight looking back at the Shelly lookout and being out further than the headland. One swimmer said that she was out of her comfort zone – I think that applied to most of us. Thanks for the early morning excursion Jules. Lee

Good on you Sam. I noticed you didn’t have a wetsuit on. I thought your mother must have reclaimed hers, then I saw neither of you had one on. Well done both of you. It’s nice without a wetsuit isn’t it.

Gee we had some fun this morning. Great conditions and wonderful company. Thanks to all that took part. Just had a look at James video, brought a big smile to my face. So tranquil, above and below the water line. Thankyou James.
