January 27, 20129

100 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

The skies might be grey but it doesn’t worry us as the water is so blue, clear and warm

The seas have calmed making it was a magical swim with so much beautiful marine life around.

A couple of great photos underwater of Eleanor cruising along, Cathie about to catch a wave and someone with a serious out board motor 🙂

14 swimmers enjoyed a lovely Bolderdash.  There will only be one or two more weeks of Bolderdash left so please make the most of them 🙂

Look forward to seeing you all for a Summer 6km Badge Swim tomorrow morning – continuing on from the regular Shelly swim at 7am !! 😉

There are a few photos of yesterday around the place including on the Good For Manly Facebook page and in the Manly Daily which has a beautiful photo of Madlen and Sven becoming proud Australians at Newport yesterday.

Happy birthday to Aaron Bird today 🙂

Thanks Gaetan. Gosh I’m not surprised you miss Manly if its -1
An tour photo of you skiing down the slopes in your cossie must be on the cards… Someone’s gotta compete with Ragnill and Hilde and I think you’re just the guy to do it 😉
Just to make you even more homesick there’s a great photo of B&B on Sprout Daily today too:

Post-Bolderdash research this morning revealed what many have suspected for some time. North Steyne is the longest surf club on the east coast of Australia, if not the world. Conjecture has it that renovations several seasons ago saw the installation of Horizon-expando Resin (an extract from Polyjuice potion) between the bricks – enabling the structure to stretch for up to 2 Kms. No remedy has yet been found although many have been tried. To date, the most effective treatment is to close one’s eyes and think of – well, something else. Which clearly I have been doing! Thank you to all who have provided company when I’ve swum this course a few times this summer.

Have you discovered why the Queensie headland seems to drift north at certain times as well?

    Brilliant Anne !!! 🙂
Safe travels Iain, enjoy outback WA. See you in 6 weeks is it ???
There should be some great opportunities for some outrageous on tour photos if nothing else…
Also… Good luck to James Goins in the ‘Bloody Big Swim’, 11.2km from Frankston to Mornington tomorrow.
