Enjoyed the swim, with great conditions being a replica of yesterday – hope this weather continues. Plenty of fish to see.

Saw the 2 Port Jacksons this morning…someone else commented that they only saw a plastic plate and fork…shark breakfast?!!

Awesome morning is right. It was just beautiful with dead flat water at the tropical temperature [nearly] of 16.4c. Visibility is not one hundred percent yet but is improving, and there have been a lot of giant cuttlefish around evidently although I personally haven’t seen one yet. Linda said she hasn’t seen a Port Jackson shark yet; well there have certainly been plenty of those, even I have spotted a couple. On the fauna side of things I was almost certain I could hear a whale singing underwater this morning, but I eventually worked out it was someone with broken ribs, calling out in agony with each stroke. There is a real example of “true grit”, what some people put themselves through just to participate in the swim. A special bravery award has been suggested at the awards ceremony, if only we could identify who it was??
Don’t forget that the beautiful water and conditions continue even after winter is finished, which happens in about a week. So make the most of the great water while it and you are here.

I have even got new ‘non-fogging’ swimming googles and I still did not see these Port Jackson sharks!! I am beginning to think they are a Bold & Beautiful myth!!!
