‘Twas the day before Christmas and guess who got carried away with all the Xmas festivities and forgot they were supposed to be blogging this morning. It was only after the swim I found out it was supposed to be me.
An amazing morning with 635 swimmers including 83 newbies.
Fortunately I was able to secure this aerial shot of the start, a proliferation of pink caps.
Yes, I missed photographing all the swimmers entering the water and the fun and games at Shelly, not to mention the amazing exhibition of marine life that was evident this morning.
As I madly started snapping post-swim photos, I then realised the true spirit of Christmas being exhibited.
Besides the religious traditions, it is a time of coming together with family and friends.
The memories of Xmas gifts and clutter will fade into oblivion.
The expression of peace, love and joy will last forever.
It is a time of contemplation, to remember to give your best – time, energy, effort and love to all.
A perfect case of this with David and a couple of friends turning on a banquet of treats and sparkles this morning.
To all you wonderful people that I commence my day with, I wish you the absolute best of peace, love and joy.

Proposed 10km swim on a Saturday to be advised.
