It was in fact just another glorious day and spectacular swim. We missed a big pod of dolphins that hit the bay 30 minutes after we got out. The day started like so many before but more and more light as the 6.45 photo shows. The waves we had on the weekend has all but left us with a 1m swell from the South East on a 9 second period. A gentle 4knot WSW wind gathered pace as the morning drew on but hardly raised a ripple. The 17.5 degrees of water temp was downright balmy after last weeks rude shock in the sub 16’s and the occasional check slap from the wall bounce into Shelley was the only evidence of any swell. A whisker off the high tide also made for an easy point crossing.

The joy of the 20th swim almost behind her was pretty clear on Jenny’s face.

For the record, it was 17.5. Positively balmy.

Very quiet this morning, just the usual blogsters.

Almost deserted at the point.

And lots of lounging room at the Bay.

The obligatory racing sea bone fish massing in the shallows.

And so few in the exit, it was long cold showers for all.

And a further obligatory pining puppy photo.

And Chick magnet.

And with so much energy around we had to attempt the Dragon BallZ-ing with limited success.

For your collective guides – should have been more like this.

Oh well, next time. Have a great week people.
Brian
And now for some important news….
