18/01/2011 – Fantastically Special Morning

January 18, 201111

Over 40 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

The waves were nowhere near as big as predicted, in fact they were nice little waves so we were able to swim our regular swim to Shelly Beach in stunningly warm water and with surprisingly good visibility.

Then guess what… there was a whale at Shelly Beach ‘just for me’ 🙂 and I got to ride him all the way to Half Way Beach accompanied by my trusty twin flipper engines: Cathy and Izzy who were very closely supported by navigation specialists: Gaetan and Linda and a wonderful entourage of pilot fish known as a truly special group of friends – the B&B.

It makes me teary now reliving it as I write this blog.

THANK U SO MUCH guys, that was
truly a wonderful start to my birthday, in fact it couldn’t have been more perfect, ok possibly only if Mum & Dad had been able to be here to share it with us.

Then a great Brekkie with you all; about 17 renditions of happy birthday, two cakes and a gorgeous necklace of a heart and a fish, 3 lovely shells, a massage voucher and a homemade card from u guys.

This was so thoughtful and obviously took a lot of planning from a group of you. Thank u so much for the best birthday anyone could wish for xx

Happy Birthday to Terry McJannett another B&B swimmer too, so nice that we were able to share our birthdays together in this special way 🙂

Great photo of Michel walking
around Chatswood yesterday with pink balloons – thanks mate x

A couple of videos were taking of the morning, the links will be up on the comments of this blog shortly, thank you all !! xx

Happy Birthday Julie, we had a great time this morning, and yes, it was wonderful to be back to Shelly. Warm and clear water, simply lovely!
I also enjoyed the teamwork to help refloat the beached whale, good work guys 🙂
Back to Queenscliff tomorrow? I hope so, it’s been 10 days since we last swam there!
