14/12/2021 – Party Time at the Swim!

There was a great happy, party-like atmosphere down at the swim this morning! Two birthdays and Jo Gregory clocked up her 3000 km swim. Great to see a nice group at Shelly bathed in sunshine . The water was fairly calm, clearer than the last few days and the temp was up to 21.2!

Jo is quite a legend as she swims every single day whatever the weather, always without a wetsuit…nothing stops Jo! It was great to get back to the old days with a proper arch too not those socially distanced ones!

Vinnie was down from Queensland and was sang to at Shelly

Rob in the middle also had a birthday. It was so nice to hear swimmers singing ‘Happy Birthday to you’ again!

Jonny must have been at a good christmas party last night as he forgot his swimmers today and swam in his pyjama shorts!

Daniel had a birthday yesterday!

Bruce Baird hosted his annual christmas party at the weekend. (Maybe I’ll get invited next year 😉

Former triathletes Anita and Liz seem to prefer the swimming part now!

Michael stood in for JK today and although he couldn’t quite mimic the scouse accent, his ‘let’s go’ could be heard all over Manly!
