68 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
15 people did the early lap although no one was keen for the double afterwards, now there’s a surprise…
With the cloudly skies and the strong noreasterly wind it was certainly a bumpy and choppy swim today, in total contrast to the rest of this week.
But… there was a beautiful family of little squid just close to Shelly Beach which you can just see in the photo opposite.
Lots of big bluies on the beach but we were lucky enough to get a pretty clear run free of them for our swim, not sure anyone going later in the day will have the same luck as this wind is pretty strong.
Tim’s fact of the day: “The heart of a blue whale is the size of a small car.”
A fantastic on tour photo below from Peter Wood who is currently competing in his 17th Baseball Masters Competition, this one is the Australian Masters in Adelaide. Great shot Peter, I hope the pink cap helped you with your shot. Did you win ??
Water Temperature 19.3 degrees.

Ok. One complaint and one suggestion:
I wish to make a formal complaint about today’s fact of the day from Tim. It’s tha same as yesterday! Did you really think we wouldn’t notice!?
I also wish to make a suggestion for today’s grand event: Julie will you please wear your pink cap during your graduation? And maybe also your pink swimmers.
ps. Libby, bienvenida a Manly, querida amiga. Y ahora que hablas espanol perfectamente, estoy muy orgullosa de ti.

Thx Jules, Great to be home with you all in the water! Yes, a bit jet-lagged and thx to Alex for swimming out to check I was O.K. after noticing the big gap between the return of everyone else and ourselves!
After reading all week about the perfect conditions, dolphins and whales we were determined to join the swim this morning…..Well, we got a welcome of chop, noreasterly and bluebottles instead. All fun!

Had a ‘trash’ walk along the beach this morning with Annette & Nicolee. When we got to the Manly end, I got hit by a flying fin, thrown by one of the B&B mermaids – Good shot !!!!
Nice baseball shot – Goodluck Peter.
Have to confess that I ticked, but didn’t swim – won’t tick for my next swim.
Congratulations Jules on your graduation. Welcome back Jon & Sarah.

I even wore my new cap that was kindly given to me by James Goins and co. It made the swim that much faster and I even stopped at the 200KM mark for a quick wahoo with Altracta.

Any b&b’er seeking accommodation?
“Two double bedrooms to let. Fantastic location. Harbour side Manly. Walk to beach, shops and ferry. Three bedroom apartment located on first floor of small block of four units. Private entrance with internal stair. Residents occupying other units in block are all long term and very friendly. Two living spaces, kitchen, dining nook, deck, internal laundry and share bathroom.

Preferred Flatmates: Male or female 30yrs plus. (Friendship only)
Non smoking. Sorry no couples, children or pets.
The apartment is partially furnished so you will need your own bedroom furnishings.
