13/10/15 Stormy Skies and Rainbows over Manly SLSC

A stormy sky with a rainbow out of the Manly SLSC a lovely sight from the point waiting for the 7am “lets go”.

We did have some lovely pre-storm light just prior to the 7am splash off!

A lovely 20.5 degrees in the water and a bit nippy & wet outside temperature.

B&B Monthly Dinner – TONIGHT!

The next B&B monthly dinner will be this coming Tuesday 13^th October at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Merrilee Linegar, who is a qualified nutritionist and herbalist. Merrilee’s topic for the night will be Brain Longevity. The way you live your life today affects how your brain functions tomorrow. Merrilee will discuss how natural medicine, diet and lifestyle improvements can optimise brain function, prevent memory loss and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s. While most of us keep our bodies fit by swimming regularly, we often forget about our brains. Staying safe

Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.  Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company.
