Today was for the BOLD swimmers of the Bold and Beautiful. Mountainous seas. Loads of surfers. Bomborra out to sea. The lifesavers announced on the tannoy that the beach remained closed and swimmers should not swim but also that learner surfers should not go out.
On such a day, people were being mindful of matching their ability to the swim they did.
Nevine and Scott were having a pre-wedding swim. They are getting married tomorrow. Good luck – and have a fabulous day.
Here are Nevine and Scott. Notice the wedding party in formal swimmers (tie in front).
People travelled from overseas for this swim and maybe also for the wedding
here are some bold swimmers – possibly it was just too dark when they went out to see

A bit of a rescue.
What a splendid type of person is a volunteer and or professional life saver. Just think about their value to us all.

What I am reading – still going with Margaret Drabble. The Dark Flood Rises. It is keeping my mind on ageing and dying. So I was watching some tremendously excellent water polo players at Bondi last night and thinking what sort of injuries would they have when they are older.

Kudos to Greg for nailing a triple…………unless, of course, you didn’t mean to and were just being washed helplessly between Manly and Shelly!

Well done, Elizabeth, kudos to you for such a great blog on such a BOLD swimming day….Great shot of the swimmers going out among the surfers.
Sheena and I joined those swimming Shelly to John Bond’s point and back….fine if one kept away from Robin’s wall and didn’t go too close to the Bower surf!
