What a glorious day to swim at Manly. early swimmers are swimming in the actual dark!!
The water has been so lovely. John doing the temp.
ha ha – it was actually very hot:
John told me that a big swell had been predicted for today but that it turned out to be suited to my abilities:
oops. that is just how the surf looks to me. Here are Midge and Bianca who had a great early swim. So early that they saw the moon shining on the sand. Daylight savings ends this Sunday!!
We are here for the swim. Smiling in anticipation
Look at all the action down at Manly
Special day for Ed today. See below. I can’t stand the suspense – he completed 500km today. USING ONLY 1.5km a time. That is really something.
I do love the colours in the morning at this time of year
This excellent swimmer is usually swimming with a team. Where were they this morning???
at the point. Thanks swimmers for posing
Rob
Heinrich Tony and David – capless one. Heinrich brought David today for his first swim. They work together. What a winning workplace with swimmers in it. Apparently David has recently done swim stroke correction to overcome swimming the European wade stroke. Now he is a fantastic swimmer.
Alan and Kathy
LOVE-ly group.

Doublers on the horizon
two doublers I bailed up for a photo. Thanks.
some actual fish. I saw Nick Dawkins swimming today so am a bit ashamed to put this photo up. And perhaps sea lice or maybe they just bite but cannot be seen by the naked eye.
Victory arch for Ed.
Taking a moment to feel the enjoyment post swim
What I have been reading. This week I have been reading New Finnish Grammar. Fiction about a man who through a head injury gets aphasia and cannot speak. He is found by a Finnish Dr who thinks he is Finnish so teaches him that language. Very enjoyable. I love language and it is an original story

Ed, what a legend – well done. Great blog as always Elizabeth. I too thought the shot of Gayle was fabulous – caught mid action
