05/11/2010 – Playground…

November 5, 201010

21 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers. 7 swimmers and photographer Tim on the board for Bolderdash – big swell, wind and chop but a great swim. Both Tim and Michael saw a whale swim past us up near Queensie really quite close to us… or were they hallucinating, I hope it wasn’t one of us !

Great photo of Gaetan, Linda and Tim post Bolderdash. This is an amazing effort, Gaetan’s only been swimming with us for about 6 weeks and Tim & Linda about 12 weeks and they’re now regular bolderdashites… 🙂

The regular 7am swim was also choppy with a nice bounce off the Bower. Chris said he thinks two fish were taking the micky out of him as he was getting close to Shelley – cute !

There will be more photos from this morning up on the gallery page of the website later today ! Check out the B&B on tour page while your there, great photo of Dave in Antarctica going up later today !

Water Temperature 19.0 degrees.
Sunrise 5.51am.
Sunset 7.26pm.
High Tide: 7.59am.
Low Tide: 2.26pm.

Yes thanks Kelly, that was a great pace for the whole trip. I believe no one waited too long for us down at Queenscliff.
Now that I’m out of the water I’m sure that was a whale next to us. It was like a fountain of spray and then just a round circle of ‘footprint’ right next to us. Good to have Tim’s supporting evidence.
