A global flow of consciousness requires an ocean of events… A fluid medium of interconnected information, encompassing our world and in contact with every corner – a whopping 1.35 billion trillion litres.
Our ocean, oft seen as a barrier to be crossed, is actually that which connects our world. When you dip your toe into the ocean you are connecting to every other coastline on earth and to every ripple of intelligence there within. The same currents and forces felt at your feet are carried to distant shores, across time zones and seasons.
Another ocean of consciousness, only 150ml of liquid, also flows at the core of your reality. The cerebrospinal fluid in your central nervous system washes right down the length of your torso and connects every major structure of your brain.
Any event you experience is communicated instantly and synchronously through your inner ocean by cells that can send and receive information through subtle changes in chemical composition, pressure, vibration, and light (yes light, photosensitive cells line the inside of your central nervous system…).
Rhythmic movements of the spine whilst swimming in the outer ocean communicate currents of calmness and clarity to the consciousness of our inner oceans. As individual cells of a greater community we return to land and communicate this calmness to the rest of our collective consciousness.
As within, so without.

B&B monthly dinner: Tuesday 13th September
6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant
Guest speaker is Jude Furniss (Founder of Bommie Australia and President of Surfrider Foundation Manly)
Jude will present the film “My Saltwater Sanctuary” including footage from Cabbage Tree Bay, which was declared an Aquatic Reserve in 2002. We all witness daily the stunning success story of how protection over the last ten years has replenished the marine populations here.
NSW currently only has 7 % of its coastline protected in twenty marine sanctuaries, so Surfrider Foundation has joined the Nature Conservation Council in the charge to lobby government to restore the ten sanctuary zones still unprotected, and increase the percentage of marine park areas in NSW by establishing a Sydney Marine Park.
Made by producers Bluebottle Films, it’s a beautiful film about locals living alongside marine reserves … and the difference every one of us can make in the protection of them.

Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each.

Oh, and I meant to ask… By chance, did anyone pickup or hand in a pair of bright blue swim trunks? They’d be mine.
Either I left them behind near the BnB table, or they fell out of my decrepit backpack.
Thanks.

I’m imagining you swimming in an ocean of CSF on your trip to Norway.
