There are 2 groups of BnB swimmers – in the first group there are those who just want to get to Shelly and back as quickly as possible, a whale in the bay would just be an annoying obstacle ;-)…. the 2nd group are those who enjoy everything the bay has to offer…and currently there are more in the 2nd group because it’s just so glorious!

So peaceful, calm and perfect !
Storchy comes under the rarer 3rd group…those who pretend to swim but are here for all the attention! Bill McCaffeine is in this group as well… 😉
Everywhere I looked today was a scene of beauty ready for my camera….(except above pic)
Sparkles back from one of the ealier swims…apparently there is a 5.30am group at the moment and they say that the water glows from all the phosphorus! Well worth a look I would say!
Brad wishing he had his wetsuit on before this first ‘cold’ wave hits him!

The sun was singing Alleluia
Ian Nicol celebrating his birthday at Shelly! Happy Birthday Ian and sorry about the blog tarts!!
And thanks for the pancakes at the benchs afterwards!
Below – This is what the 2nd group get up to!
Synchronised swimming…

…meditation groups…
Mass fish gatherings…
Swimming lessons….taught by the fish!
Even the fish blog tart! 😉
If you want to be part of the 2nd group swim on the far left side on the way back from Shelly – there is so much to see!!

A word from one of BnB sponsors – Logan and Mason – http://www.loganandmason.com.au/home.aspx

Jenny Reed of Logan and Mason would like to offer a free personalised shopping service to any B&B members who need help with Manchester. She has found that many people are confused with thread counts, sizes, pillows, quilts and that putting together the right look for their bedrooms is daunting. Her service would include a home consultation where appropriate. You can call Jenny on 02 8084 9917. What a great offer! Thanks Jenny!

You are so right Lesbubbs. I do think swimmers who swim as quick as they can across the East side of the bay miss out on so much! funny, thought provoking blog again.
That’s nice of Jenny to offer her services and come and look at our beds. I need help with my thread count and I’m sure some of the single men do too 😜

Anyone reading the Blog would think I’m scared of the water !
I have witnesses that can vouch for my seafaring deeds on at least 5 times out of the last 400 or so days I have been at Manly. Hardly a NOVICE then, would you say ?!?!?
I am contemplating capitalising on my Barista skills by offering a course in coffee drinking. Any interested persons please think it through and let me know what areas of cafe society you feel need attention. I’m sure we can work together to get you up to speed with the cognoscenti.
(Don’t expect tea and sympathy !)
The 19th century Revolutions were fomented in the coffee houses of Europe …….. are you brave enough to go the whole way and drink coffee and ………… chat ?
The motto we live and die by(I don’t think I’m overstating my case here)
“Just give me a coffee, and no one gets hurt !”
