Over 62 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers.
Lovely swim, with clear warm water; 4 baby Dusky Whaler Sharks on the way over and 2 on the way back.
Due to many requests we’ve provisionally planned the ‘Round The Head Super Swim’ for Saturday 29th January, starting at 7am. It measures at 7km as a direct swim. As with all B&B swims, they are informal swims whereby everyone participates at their own risk. If anyone’s interested in the ‘Round The Head Super Swim’ please could you let me know.
Check out the photo of Vicki in Hoi An, Vietnam, more great adventurous photos of B&B on tour can be seen on the B&B on tour webpage
Also newly uploaded a great video that Gaetan took of a Wobbegong appearing from the rocks and flora – beautiful. To check it out go to:

Sunset 8.10pm.

Great water conditions for ocean swimming – had a nice school of fish swim below me on the way to the point.

Ok, so the RoundTheHeadSwim is “only” 7km, not 10. Does this mean there’s a badge to be had or not? This is quite important information before I commit to anything as stupid as swimming around North Head.
Nice shot of Vicki in the lantern shop.

Clarification: because risking your life in shark infested waters for a stitch-on badge is not stupid.
But if there’s no badge, the swim is clearly stupid.

I have to say I am struggling with this one….
Harbour + shark feeding and breeding ground = angry protective sharks
Ocean + sharks cruising around the beach on their holidays = calm non angry sharks
…not sure I can commit to this one unless I am swimming in a boat or cage!!!!

Obviously not stupid then as there will have to be a heroes badge for those individuals brave enough to embark on such an adventure, ok… complete such an adventure.
But really, I feel only a tattoo will truly reflect the status of the heroes, don’t you… 🙂
Sounds like your in then Anna !!

What’s the struggle? there’ll be a badge for it for sure, so its a no brainer. Besides if you see anything nasty you can always just get out. All you need is superb rockclimbing skills, some rope and pitons and Bob’s your uncle!!

ahahahahhaaha :-)))
But also Anna as Julie said yesterday I think we can always extend the swim to Queenscliff and back and that will count for the 10km badge.

As you can see from Tim’s Video (Loved it Tim!! ) The more time you spend in the water, the less chance of seeing a shark! Im at the stage now that I reckon they don’t exist or is it just because my googles fog up because of my rubbish stroke!! Anyway Im in as long as there is a badge!!
PS and a boat with a “fish” finder nearby

Yes Nick, loved your solo swim ooops I mean how nice to swim with a group of lovely friends that all take the time to wait for you and make sure you haven’t ended up as lunch for some big “fish”.
