02/11/2011 – B&B in Bora Bora…

November 2, 201111

79 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

It was a dusty start for some this morning but well worth getting up and wet for as the water was just devine and there were dolphins off the point to welcome the early risers too !!

18 people did the beautiful calm, clear 3km Bolderdash swim to Queenscliff and back this morning including our Pacific Challenge Leader, Neil Cowin…  Neil’s not gonna let you get ahead that easily 😉 Next Bolderdash leaves Manly at 5.50am on Friday morning, hope to see you there !!

Incase that wasn’t quite enough Michael Christie and John Bond continued on for a double swim to Shelly and back making it a 6km swim for both of them.  You can see from Isobel Kirk’s photo below, that Michael was quite the star at brekkie this morning 😉

As usual James Goins took some gorgeous photos for us all, including a shadowed photo at Queensie headland, where you can pick out John Bond for sure, and a photo of North Steyne looking magestic in the low sun with ‘me cruising past’ in the foreground… ;-).  Plus the fabulous photo of the sun reflecting right off Freshie Surf Club.

Great photos James, love them all, as always.

There were a few sneaky blue bottles strategically dotted around the bay so a couple of people had ‘an encounter’ on the regular swim, but it was soon forgetten when we saw one of our delightful Port Jackson Sharks swimming underneath us.

So… who’s keen to join us for some magical swimming in Bora Bora before Christmas ??  It’s a great deal, with all accommodation, breakfasts, flights, taxes, transfers and swims included, leaving Sydney on 11th December !!

If you’re tempted please let me know ASAP so we don’t miss out on flights or accommodation… it’s only 5 weeks away.

There is a 6 night 1 island option or an 11 night 3 island option… to read more about this fantastic trip to Bora Bora please click here

Check out two of our Bold & Beautiful boys, Peter Wood and Stephen Coulter living up to their name, looking very dapper in the Manly Daily today by clicking here

They are not the only ones to feature in the Manly Daily today, you can also read about our heroic, most senior swimmer, Bruce Paterson in the Manly Daily today or online by clicking here

Bruce also featured in The Weekend Australian (29-30 Oct) on page 44.  Quite the National hero Bruce, well done !!

Tim’s fact of the day: “Octopus can change their colour.”
