02/09/2010 – Smooth!

September 2, 20102

39 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers. There’s certainly a change with a much warmer feel happening, it’s even getting humid! The water was just soooo smooth this morning with an influx of Port Jackson’s, the total count being 9 🙂 Water Temperature 18.0 degrees. Sunrise 6.13am. Sunset 5.38pm. Low Tide: 7.21am. High Tide: 2.09pm.

Wow that was warm today. 18c I kid you not! It could actually get warmer, so I think you can say the worst of the cold water is over.
James Goins led me astray over the Bower reef on the way back this morning and there was a bunch of about six Port Jackson sharks settled neatly on the bottom. Check them out tomorrow they’ll almost certainly still be there. There was also a large ray and lots of fish. Probably its worth a look most days if its reasonably clear.

That water was smooth as – made the movement through the water so enjoyable. Hope to see some Port Jacksons in the next swim – how about a whale as well.
