Happy and Healthy 2011 to you all ! May we all have many many more swims and happy times together 🙂
Over 67 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers this morning, some slightly more seedy than others I must say 🙂
13 people continued on to complete the 6km summer badge swim to Freshie and back – not bad for New Years Day yeh 🙂
Check out the summer 6km badge tally on the website to see whose qualified… at:

We are the Bold and beautiful,
Our voices we do share,
With all good friends who swim with us,
Long distance we do dare.
‘LET’S GO’ Jules shouts and starts the throng,
The water comes alive.
Flippers make slow ones oh so strong,
And all of us survive.
Winter at Shelly some do wait,
It’s them wot swim too fast!
Comrades encourage those in late,
Called ‘BRICK’ if your’e in last.
Constant query by people slow,
A coffee will surely fix,
Buddies take care to share what they know,
Strangers come friends as we mix.

Hi Greg, welcome to the world of blogging. Not only have you now learnt a new skill in blogging you have revealed one of your other many talents; competing with Tony Box for hidden poetic talent.
I absolutely LOVE the poem, it’s just so, well perfect, it sums us up beautifully – great job 🙂
It’s so cool gently discovering many of our member’s hidden talents as we continue on our journey together, keep them coming…
