Some fear mongering on FB the past week i’ve been away. I was expecting to see a wall of jellys, impenetrable in the middle of the bay, whipping stingers, blue bottles and packs of stalking bull sharks.
The news stories in the Perth papers also talked of a mighty Iron Man rescued from jaws of despair by jetskis. As Nicci says can’t let the truth get in the way of a good story. It was magnificent to be back, magnificent in the water, and the magnificent Drinks Express crew had me in stitches for over an hour.
2 of these men had close encounters with the Manly Life Savers and their rescue vehicles in the past few days.
these 2 legends make it look easy, and would never need to be rescued
Look closely at the 7am crew and you will see Tilly giving the lads a much needed head start. She always beats them!
When you’re around, I’m always laughin’
and finally some descriptions of the mighty, viscious sea creatures that stalk our unsuscepting men and women of the Drinks Express..
The Guv, Canadian Matt, Drinks & Snoopy
2 love birds… Caroline and Liam (you think she’s fast…)
The Guv literally had his pubic hair ripped off by some unknown beast. Undeterred he manage to retrieve it and brought it back to land with some ingenious plans to re-use for the benefit of mankind.
Sarge told some great stories of how far we’ve come over the years…
ingenious… something to cover up that bruise on your chin Jon?
What about the swimming? Caroline reports a wobby at the point, a stray basketball, and lots of fish. Hardly a ripple across the bay, surprisingly clear, with many hugging the shore in trepidation. I did too btw. Went back straight across, nothing to report. A big crowd of 7am wading out. Happy birthday to Nicci tomorrow, her and Hels heading out as we exited.
Thanks for the swim and coffee Team. Remember don’t let your true love run cold.
