Today I was 80% sure I was not going to swim. Because it was raining. Thankfully I was jolted back to sanity on hearing how great the viz was (it was pretty good).
A smaller than average crew today
Caroline is just back from a successful Dragon Boat Racing event in Germany. What an amazing athlete she is!
Megan is one of 2 newbies today. She was amazed by the quantity and variety of sea creatures she saw.
Paula is the other newbie, all the way from Cape Town (for her best friend’s birthday) when on a good day the water temp hits 14. She gave Ian a cap from her swim group over there
Surfers were making the best of the conditions as swimmers looked on
A very low tide this morning
Close to shore I picked up this piece of shiny litter from the water, surprising a small ray to swam away rather rapidly
Swimming in the rain is always nice whichever way you look at it
Spotted one PJ, and because 1 fish is barely enough here are some of the huge Yellowtail community.
Earlier I was greatly amused to watch a trigger fish chasing intruders from what he was convinced was his territory. The best part was when a brave little mado gave him a mind-your-manners nudge
Not surprisingly these 2 cranes reminded my of a song called Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Here it is live, check it out it’s a lot of fun
