Water temp – a balmy 18 plus, At least 1 newbie, Lots of swimmers
Today is a very special day with much celebration to be had. Today marks the auspicious anniversary of the descent of Les Bubbles from the heavens (yesterday’s swimmers were blessed with the anniversary of the date that Shelley K blessed creation with her arrival). More on these later.
As if that wasn’t enough, there were 2 milestones to be celebrated. Sterling reached 2000km, becoming part of small elite group. All we can say is WOW!!! Cheryl reached 1000km in record time. Congrats to both of you, you are amazing.
Newbie Helen had no idea what she was getting into. Welcome, Helen
And it’s into the briny we go
My normal mode of getting to Shelley is a leisurely scenic cruise along the wall, but today there was blogging to be done, with the serendipitous benefit of calorie-burning. Once there, the celebrations continued with multiple calls of Let’s Go
Birthday fun and the ubiquitous Blog Tart, one of many
The Festival of Sterling continues, surrounded by the admiring A Team
As does the Festival of Cheryl
Happy times at the point, including the submarine tunnel
A rare sighting of a millennial mythical creature on sea and land
Once out of the water, your sharp-eyed blogger caught sight of Sterling incognito…. The celebration continues.
I usually include many underwater photos in my blog but today we had bigger fish to fry (sorry) and this is all I could manage
And look!!! Spring is on its way.
And now…. a Very Important Announcement
B&B MONTHLY DINNER – GUEST SPEAKER
The next B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 8th August at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker on the night will be travel agent Brett Goulston, whose talk is entitled “20 places you should visit even though you may never have heard about them and probably can’t pronounce them”
Brett is co-owner of Blue Dot Travel (with two of our B&B swimmers, Brod Brennan & Joanne Coughlan). All three are travel tragics who have travelled to most of the corners of the globe and are passionate travellers, swimmers and walkers.
Blue Dot Travel is a boutique travel business which has generously signed on as a B&B sponsor. The business focuses on mature/young at heart travellers who are looking for unique experiences (think Madagascar, Kamchatka, Nagaland, Ethiopia, Caucuses, Iceland, etc). To celebrate the occasion they will be giving away 5 lucky door prizes on the night as well as offering Bold & Beautiful members a $250 discount off any trip they book in the next 60 days.
The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Great work Anne on an action-packed day of celebration. Cheryl has set a new benchmark in arches, on-land too easy, on-water matters are much more mysterious and magical.
Congrats to the high K achievers and those with high numbers under their birthday belts (not naming any names)

Thanks Shelley. Im gutted I missed posting her land arch photo. First and last time I blog on a work day.
I think I was level with the yellow shed when Sterling and Co got back to Manly so I missed his moment of pink-clad glory.

Great blog Anne of a very funny and happy morning. Love Mermaid Cheryl! Great achievement doing most of the swim with your tail Cheryl. There has to be a mighty big drag on that!! Happy Birthday to Les bubbles and Shelley. Brilliant morning!
