Heather and Edwina get a work out swim in before work and below a dad and toddler amused many of us as they did crawling games on the sand.
I met this lovely lot this morning who often swim at Balmoral, Kelly, Ursula and Hich with long time swimmer Jenny Menzies. We had a few tears as sad news was received and we reflected on the swim many of us call ‘the lifesaver’.
The drinks Express are joined by Drinky’s father in law Roy who loves swimming the pool. He’s a friendly chap and quite identifiable in his flamingo shorts. He’d love a ‘ Hello Roy’ if you chance upon him!
The Men of the bench most who qualify as ‘old codgers’ ( fit old codgers at that) except young Niek of course who is still ‘working up to a swim’ after 6 years!
A happy crowd this morning making the most of calmer seas before the big swell comes. There were some sizable waves going out though but they were avoidable!
