Turtles, Tsunamis and Celebrity Bum is back

Rusty and Chippos Pitch report

Street sweepers sweep the Corso. June bug skipping like a stone. Busy early at the beach. 5.39am and already a gang is reaching north, dog lights on their heads. The old bloke on the bench (sitting there for 50 years!) told me he would not swim across the bay that early (?). Venus hovers over Shelley. The shark net boat arrives all ablaze at 6am far out to sea, are the nets drifting or being dragged out to sea, did you know that most sharks are found on the inside of the nets?

Huey the wind god delivered a gentle southerly, flattening all activity on the surface. Push out a couple of rowing crews, blink and we could have been in Henley-on-Thames. Temp 23.4 degrees and balmy. Stopped at the point for the baby wobby, slow to the other side with all the distractions. Very busy today in the water, word got out about the pristine conditions.

Coming back amazing. Ran into the turtle! How can a simple creature change your day & your life? Floated back to the beach and to work filled with the joy of life. We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts and poured cement. Reluctantly heading into the jungle, but with visions of a graceful creature sharing our swim.

Thanks for the swim Team. Enjoy your day!

Just off the pool today. Fricken amazing. Wow Wow Wow.

Di and Kathy modelling the Drinksy. Hope you are recovering well from your Op Drinksy.

Tip of the day for turtle spotting. The Good Stuff.

Swimming is better, when Sarge is in charge!

“Stevo is not a dirty word”. Yes it is! Oh dear.

Back by popular demand…Guess the Celebrity Bum. Something for the boys also this week. Well done to Lainey for narrowing down last week’s bum to a Daddo. It was in fact Mr C. Daddo, not Mr A. Daddo. Lainey’s very detailed description the juiceness of a Daddo bum was very compelling. Hopefully we live up to expectations this week Lainey!

Last word – 3 earthquakes off NZ, will we see any swell? I’m opening up the B&B Lost and Found ready for the onslaught of flippers, googles, caps, bathers, etc likely to be ripped off from the impending surf.

Sublime! Blogging is better when there’s a wordsmith in charge.
