The spacey blues at this hour of the morning being chased out by the early morning light and the pitter patter of footsteps out the front door as one of kids dashed out for a run to the beach before school in what felt like the middle of the night but was actually 5:30. It all well and truly signals the beginning of the Autumn.
With a half meter of 8 second south swell and a puff of NNE summer breeze to mess up the surface, a high tide at 8:30 this morning all made for a relaxing southern stretch and a headwind with a choppy lap home. Expect the swell for the rest of the week to continue to ease, though the NNE will stay about and encourage the cold current.
The start of the day increasingly reluctant to get up on time.
A lot of eager starters saw the rearguard down to a relaxed few
Milly charging toward her first swim
Sparkles giving the thumbs up
And into the glare
A gentle chop to the point
Sparkles under steam broaching a set
The advanced guard well off the point disappearing into the sun
Ed Selby steams past chasing the next PB
Ian taking his log for a walk
A serious obstacle to hit under full throttle
And back to reality and BTW council how can anyone read the blue sign.
Saw this and thought it was kinda cool
The Bluewater crew powering up
All the best for a great week.

Great blog Brian. I know you had technical difficulties so thanks heaps. That photo at The Point is amazing. Good old Ian F bringing in that huge log. He hurt his hand too. (Don’t believe the shark story!)
