Tues 13th: Cloudy with Meatballs

September 13, 20167

I got hauled up to Lincraft at Belrose on Sunday, by the 10-year-old.  Instructed me that she’d be making cushions.  The green one is called ‘Misty’

—————-

The sky is an evocative blend of tropical pastels.  Impossible to capture … but so good to watch.  (Shepherd’s Warning horizon)

Air          17º
Sky          Overcast
Parking    Difficult – even at 5.35 a.m.
Water     18.1º  (Like a yo-yo lately)
Surface    Flat as a tack.  Perfect
Vis          Very poor
Ramp      Girthed still by that creepy black sand
Smell      Nil pong today
Midge      Moonwalking  “The knee.  It’s the knee”

Surf Club Joe’s entourage are on the stroke at 5.44 a.m.  Daylight definitely arriving earlier these weeks …

Cloudy with Meatballs

Around 7.15 the sun almost begins to peek, but – alas – clouds roll in.  A slight wind carries some nip, and rain starts to spit.  Not many hanging around after this …

6.30 at Point today – many saying it felt colder than 18º. (Well – that was me whingeing) I think this is because we are just transitioning into months where air temps are going to be higher than water temps from now on. Thus the slight shock upon entry.

That ‘conditions’ photo, so purdy. I think I had a bruise on my thigh in those exact colours recently…

Great all-round update Roger. Mark’s jimble ear looks gruesome. Best treated with balsamic vinegar or urine.
    Happy Birthday Ken!
