Torrid Tuesday – 16/10/18

16/10/20181

A whippy but variable 25 knots of serious Nor Easter had conjured up a treat this morning with 1-2 meters of swell. Compounding the conditions, the low tide and already heavily sanded point from the last months of building gentle swells made for a careful bit of navigation out to the point. The Nor-easter had seen to the murk though the temps were sensational. We should see a lift in the swell tomorrow but then backing off as the low pressure eases off.

Shelley on the other hand was pretty calm and a triangle of truth to the Bower point break, over to the pool and back seemed like the order of the day for those looking for a less vigorous routine.

When the Sun poked through it framed the morning.

Leading the charge this morning to make sure the Bower point swim was OK was Megan and Leanne.

Meanwhile back at the ramp, Dave Panton led the A Team out for a bit of excitement.

Good little rip though, to help with getting out.

And giving them all a headstart, Scotty limbered up at the back of the pack.

And given the current forecast probably closed tomorrow as well.

As Derrick pointed out, it does have the making of a nice bank in the corner though.

Have a great week people and stay safe.

PS 3 Newbies jumped in today. Nice start.

Cheers, Brian

And the messages.

Best photo of sun over Shelly Beach! Very skilled swimmers going into that surging sea today.
