Thursday 9 April 2026 Peaks and troughs

09/04/20260

One of those days when the waves have created channels and troughs – here is a photo of swimmers posing to demonstrate the height difference.

Some swimmers step through the waves

And some swimmers fly

Looking forward to CBT. It was quite good visibility today. At least I would see the sand at the bottom

Did you know that one whale is worth thousands of trees when it comes to reducing the CO2 in our atmosphere?

Whale watching season is about to begin in Australia when more than 60,000 humpback whales migrate along Australia’s east coastline from NSW to Queensland, and along the West Australian coast. We call this route the “whale highway.”

One destination, Tonga, is a sanctuary for mating, giving birth, and nurturing their young. This is what makes Tonga so special for whale swimming, as we are privileged to immerse ourselves in their space, their home! A few months a year, we get to witness all the whale magic in one space.
