Before we start today’s blog we had better put Lisa’s mind at rest – the girls were there bright and early this morning to reclaim the wall, so it is once again “Women of the Wall” territory – none of this talk about the blokes infiltrating – nice try.
Despite the lumpy sea, a bit too big for me, it was still beautiful warm conditions this morning. Half way was a popular choice for many while others ventured out from Manly.
Shelley K and Mary always rock up with a beautiful smile.
Nicky’s daughter is currently fundraising for a trip to India. Last night a few Boldy women converged for a clothes swap and this weekend there is an art exhibition to help with fundraising festivities.
Brod and his wife Joanne run the boutique travel agency Blue Dot Travel who specialise in unique destinations. Earlier this year they were guest speakers at a Boldy Tuesday monthly dinner and are regular swimmers with us.
The waves provided a bit of fun getting out this morning.
And hopefully some great photos will be appearing on Manly blogs soon.
If you see these “bums” out on display make sure you support their fundraising ventures. Not only are they promoting a healthy lifestyle and getting more young people into ocean swimming, but also raising funds for mental health charities a long the way.
Have a look at their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/babewatchcrew/
So lovely to see Sue out swimming this morning with friends. Sue we all support you during this difficult time – there’s plenty of hugs to go around from your B&B mates.
LesBub broke the camera – yets another disgusting shot – one day I’ll get a great one.
Media tarts
Apparently there is a film crew going to be shooting footage for German television on Saturday so if you would prefer not to be captured maybe head east or keep a low profile. Our media tarts can talk to Ian if they would like to know more.
10k swim
Don’t forget its the first of Bondy’s 10k swims next weekend. If you are planning to swim check with John Bond the approved route on the morning as it may change depending on conditions. Just remember stick with the group and don’t compromise your safety if conditions are not optimal – no badge is worth that much.
Xmas party auction
Attendees at the B&B Xmas Party will have the opportunity to bid for this magnificent painting, Tharwa Sheep Country ACT, painted in 1991 by well-known artist Melvin Duffy, and valued at $600 – $800.
Born in 1930, Melvin has been a dedicated contributor to the Royal Arts and Crafts section at the Sydney show since 1960. In 2009 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to art.
The size of the framed painting is 78 cm x 62 cm.
All proceeds from the sale (and our Christmas Raffle) will go to the Royal Far West. A big thank you to Jenny Andrew for kindly donating the painting.
Stats:
Temp: 19.3
Newbies: None that we know of
Total swimmers: 113
Till next time have a great week and remember when life gets tough

The proposed date for the first 10k swim is Sat 16TH Dec
as noted in the previous blogs, not this Sat.
Swims are depebdent on suitable ocean/ weather conditions.
Note : 10k swimmers are to bring their own food/drink
reequirements.

I’m confused. Wasn’t your love of pink bouncy balls the main reason you joint B&B in the first place?

Great blog D!
Forecast for Saturday 6km looks okay-ish so far. Bit of a southerly blowing, should make for smooth start and finish with some challenging bits at QC and Freshwater turning point. Good enough!

LesBub joined to fulfil her desire to become a renowned blog model. Great cause – we really don’t mind seeing nice fit toned babes and blokes on the beach

I was worried after yesterday’s post about losing the wall! I’ll be back next week to help hold the wall for Lisa’s return!

Great blog, thanks Dee. Pleased to see order has been restored. Respect to everyone who braved those waves at entry…they were scary
