Thursday, 31 March 2016 The perfect swim of 2016

31/03/20166

If there was any day not to miss going for your regular dip with the Bold and Beautiful then this morning was definitely the morning.  The sunrise was spectacular, the water temperature bathtub like, no stingys that I know of and the duskies, old wives and yellowtails were all out in force.

The 6.30 Drinks Express went out and returned in the dark minus their fearless leader who opted for a quick dip before heading overseas to try his best Elvis impersonation – safe travels Andrew and we look forward to seeing you back swimming with us on your return.

Both Ed and Sean agreed it was definitely the swim of the year.  Yes it was still a little dark as the 7 o’clockers headed for the point.

This is my lovely friend Maria.  A year ago Maria couldn’t put her fact in the water, but now she is a regular and even earned her triple badge this summer.  She is the ultimate story of shear determination and never giving up.

Sheena and Richard are back from trekking around Nepal.  In another story of dedication they flew in yesterday but were up bright as buttons this morning to see how many sharks they could spot.

But the story of the morning was it’s Sparkles birthday, we all sang Happy Birthday at Shelly Beach and she got to do the let’s go – sorry it was a bit dark and my technical abilities are somewhat limited so the photos were a bit dark.

Sparkles recently gave a great speech at our regular dinner and her new podcast Illuminating ANOREXIA and other eating, self & body issues PODCAST by Michelle Sparkes is live on iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/illuminating-anorexia-other/id1088765000?mt=2

On the way back it was a case of look, there’s one!!  I’m pretty impressed with myself, I actually managed to get photos of fish, in focus and in the camera shot on the way back.

And the big daddy of them all (I’ve got a bit of work to do to get to Lani Loo’s standard but nonetheless
