Well its official – winter is definitely just around a the corner and this morning proved it with our first swim of the year where the water temperature was under 20 degrees – who do we talk to about warming things up again!!!
Despite the brisk chill in the air the water was actually relatively warm, and although there wasn’t as much to see as other days, the sun peaking through the clouds made the morning spectacular.
James was one of two new swimmers today – Ann made sure he knew all about the rules – hope you enjoyed the swim James.
The women of the wall are always up for a chat and a laugh.
Getting in was a little chilly, with a few waves to jump just to add a little excitement.
Our furry friends wait patiently for their owners return from their daily swim
There’s always a bit of time for a chat and to meet new people at Shelly.
Pauline and Ian do so much for B&B – we really do appreciate it. The debate this morning was whether Ian’s cap needs to be retired – he thinks it gives him “beach cred” – Ian, you don’t need any beach cred – you have plenty for your tireless effort.
Catch you next time and remember

Clearly you are no longer part of the inner sanctum if you haven’t been invited to the “WOW” area

today’s swimmer of the day, Lisa Boyle is clocking a good number of kms since starting with B and B in March 2015. 774.5 km in 2.2 yrs is a bit over 1 km / day.
Lisa, at that rate you will be up to 3,650 km in less than 10 yrs!
128 swimmers today is a surprising big number. From the small groups I saw this morning, my guess would have been about 40 to max 50. Maybe they swam north or at 6.30 or were so far ahead I could not see them.
A very nice blog Deanna to match a very nice swim,

Oh my goodness ‘Ian the slowest’ I’m not sure if that is an overwhelming thought or a massive motivator!!
