Thursday 19 February 2018: Friendship, family and frolicking with the fish

19/04/20184

What a glorious morning down at Manly Beach this morning for our regular swim.  With school holidays it was a great opportunity to spend time with our wonderful friends and family.  We all have different ways to relax and enter the water at Bold and Beautiful.

The sunrise was just gorgeous for the 6.30 swimmers.

The yogi’s were out doing their poses – soaking up the gorgeous sunrise.

Our beautiful Annie (centre) is busy preparing for her wedding on Saturday afternoon at Long Reef.  We send her our best wishes for a glorious day as some special memories leading up to the event with all her family having now arrived in the Manly area to help celebrate her special day.

Meanwhile Dr Penny (left) is our guest speaker at next months dinner.  She will talk about her recent trip to the Great Australian Bite and what can be found at 3000m deep under the sea.

Annabelle (right) is busy training for the World 70.3 Championships in South Africa later this year.

More happy people entering the water.

These guys just met at the end of their 6.30am swim.

More 6,30 swimmers finishing their swim.

There is plenty of activity as the speedy 6.30 swimmers get back and the 7am swimmers enter the water.

Georgina, Izzy and Lisa thought the water was divine.

Newbies with Lisa jumping the waves.

Peter bought his son down for some special one-on-one time.

Fred and Patrick is chasing me on the Pacific Challenge.

There was plenty of sealife today – including the wobby off the point.

The water was clearer, temperature although under 20 degrees was actually pretty nice.

Management notices:
Temperature:  19.7
Total swimmers:   150

Monthly dinner:

The next dinner scheduled for Tuesday 8th May is brought to us by one of our very own Dr Penny Berents and is described below. Please book soon to avoid disappointment.

‘What lives at the bottom of the ocean at 3000 metres depth in the Great Australian Bight?’

Dr Penny Berents spent a month at sea last year to answer this question. Penny will talk about life at sea on a research ship and the weird and wonderful animals discovered on the voyage.

Please book early using http://www.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au/bb-bluewater-monthly-dinner.html
