It was a bit of a rainy start to the morning and one of those days that I should have just rolled over and gone back to bed. I arrived in plenty of time to see the 47 Non-Drinkee Express swimmers head out in rainy conditions but alas the blog camera could not be found, hence you will have to imagine what it was like.
The sun was trying to shine through the rainclouds which gave quite an unusual glow and with a solid sprinkle of rain the umbrellas were up and the gathering crowd huddling under the shelter of the surf club.
There were the obligatory grumbles about the rain and how hard it was to get down here this morning, the comparison of fins and some technical analysis as to which would be most efficient and why and the chatter about weekends activities. Some discussions involved the latest bitey reports which are few and far between at the moment.
If you have been thinking about joining the group now is the most perfect time to come and venture out into Cabbage Tree Bay – the waves are relatively low and gentle – the water temperature is still relatively warm, clarity pretty good and there is plenty of sea life including the dusky whalers and fiddler rays which don’t seem to care about us swimming near thems any more.
Thanks goodness for Shelley posting about seeing the trigger fish this morning (sorry Shelley i knicked your picture).
There were five new swimmers, about 167 regular swimmers and water temperature was 22.1.
Till next time have a lovely day

Thanks Bill, a bit of a fizzer but better than nothing. Will make up for it next fortnight. Does that justify the expenditure of purchasing of my own camera!!!
