This morning as I headed for my swim in the back of my mind the thought was – I hope there’s no bluey’s today. Then there is the dreaded, oh that looks a little sloppy this is going to be a harder than normal swim.
As the weather and sea warms up it comes with its own challenges – while there were no blueys that we know of today – there were some sloppy conditions, making swimming at times feel like you were going uphill.
The weather doesn’t bother the 6.30am crew led by Andrew “Drinky” – they were all showing us how to keep our distance .
The Thursday yogis were on the job – sea conditions don’t affect them and what a beautiful backdrop to get your zen on.
Shelly was calm as usual, but once you got out past the Bower it was still a little lumpy but still what better way to start the day.
This weekend many of our triathlete swimmers are headed for Forster for the Triathlon NSW Club Championships. Usually an individual sport, this is the one event on the triathlon calendar where people get to race for their club.
Best wishes to everyone competing or volunteering.
