This morning conditions were just perfect, flat, clearer, dusky’s to see and low tide which meant it was nearly a walk to the point.
A little bit of rain had us all ducking for cover – don’t want to get wet until we need to.
But the rain didn’t bother this trio who were keen to get out there with the 6.30 lot.
Melise says she’s still coming to terms with daylight savings, but it is so nice to swim in the light in the morning.
While Ian can always be found hugging the girls, this morning we had a visitor from the Polar Bears in Western Australia.
Swimmer of the Month
The Medibank Swimmer of the Month for March is Roz Beaver. Here is what Roz says about her B&B experience:
“I can’t imagine life without swimming – it’s always been the way I access my “happy place” and every swim is a good one! It keeps me positive when life gets me down and It’s absolutely the best way to start the day!
For many years I swam at my local beach, Collaroy, but it didn’t take too many swims with the B&B before I became hooked not just on the swim and seeing all the wonderful marine life, but also on this incredibly supportive, positive group of people who have now become such close friends. If you have a problem, there’s always someone in the group willing to help out. It’s a community in the truest sense of the word.
One of the other aspects I love about B&B is the mix of generations. My daughter, Mikaila is 23 and she too is now hooked since meeting many of the younger Babewatch swimmers who also swim with us. It’s become a family affair – she recently said to me “I feel like I’ve found my tribe!” and I know exactly what she means! We’ve recently moved closer to Manly not just for the swim – it’s also the location of so much of our social life now as well..
Thanks to Rebel sport, I’ve bought a great new pair of runners which will replace the ones that after 4 years, have no tread left!”
