Now there has been much debate over the years, and indeed the generations, around the appropriate content for the B&B blog. And us bloggers are concerned about writing for our readers, and there are up to 9 readers per blog from our 8,000 swimmers. Some say focus on swimming, some say focus on something philosophical, and others say focus on the fish. So today I take a stand against the fish. Weβve had too many fish in the blog. In fact, the fish are taking over the blog just as they are taking over Cabbage Tree Bay. Everywhere I go I hear about fish. I go to the B&B dinner and the speakers talk about fish. We have swimmers asking, βDid you see the fish?β. Some swimmers even say they love the swim because of the fish. I say, βWhereβs the beef?β.
So, todayβs blog is focusing on beef not fish. Weβre not talking here about the beef from the Australian red meat industry of which there are 26 million head in Australia. Weβre talking about the beef of the Bold and Beautiful Manly.
Now our beef isnβt the lean too skinny air-brushed metro beef you see in magazines and bus backs. Ours is the full-bodied beefy beef, the real men. At the risk of being charged with political incorrectness, Iβll drive a steak in the ground and claim this blog as the beef blog. None those pesky omega 3 fish, no spring into lamb, no pork on my fork. Just beef and plenty of it. So get your chops into these hunks.
Happy birthday Roger
Beefcake of the day goes to Sterling with a too close encounter with the rocks…
What’s your beef?
Cheers,
Pete Anthony

My beef is that my photo bomb of the day is missing in action!
I only hope the sharks are properly informed that these are the guys with real Beef! As for Sterls – if he can’t navigate the rocks in super-calm waters after a 1000kms of doing so, what hope is there? xx

Great Bolderdash conditions today! Highly recommended, especially for those like Peter who like a break from the fish!

Highly nutritious blog, could only have been improved with more shirts off. I feel my red blood cell count has risen substantially (not to mention my blood pressure) Thanks Pete

Instead of talking about the fish, why donβt we eat them? Delicious bream sashimi, or kingfish, of wrasse or whatever? Even those love cuttlefish, or squid (they are so good on the BBQ), Swimming across the bay makes me hungry. π
