Thursday 1 December: Its official…its a cult…

December 1, 201611

Conspiracy theorists have now confirmed Manly’s Cabbage Tree Bay is the world’s other Bermuda Triangle. When aliens first saw Cabbage Tree Bay from space they recognised the shape as a Triangle . And we now join the faked death of Elvis and the alleged moon landing in annuls of cult infamy. The evidence is as obvious as a crop circle…here’s just some of the evidence:

Why do allegedly sane people get out of a warm bed to dive into a cold ocean, is it the hypnotic charm of our management team below? Is that feasible? Or is it really a cult? Is it cool aid or coffee?

Why young female newbies like these…

get a longer induction than young male newbies like these: are female swimmers more drawn to the cult?

And like the Bermuda Triangle which is a loosely-defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, ours is a loosely defined region in western part of The Tasman Sea. Like most cults we have a sub cult started by Drinksey who lures his acolytes into the water at 630….

Why is the temperature so important? We dive in anyway…and why does John Bond pretend to us a thermometer before guessing the temperature, he is clearly on the alien payroll too. And why is it that the water is warmer than the air temperature but still feels colder? This is just paranormal activity.

In the Bermuda Triangle a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. In our Cabbage Tree Bay a number of goggles, snorkels and fins are also said to have disappeared under strange circumstances. Stanger still is the affect the Bay is having on the compass. The point is moving further south – there was a time when the point was at the point – but the geo-magnetic impact of the triangle is obvious. Swimmers are being drawn south – here’s a view from the point at 705 and not a swimmer in sight before the ‘lets go’…

Meanwhile like most cults there is a romantic element… here members misread BandB for RSVP and use the group as an opportunity for romance…

While other cult members randomly sing traditional folk songs as birthday celebrations and splash water in a strange ritual…

Further evidence on the cult activities…badges and festivals…

Boomerang Bags is a bag share initiative driven by our community to reduce single use plastic pollution in our community.

From next week, look out for the bright red boomerang bag boxes located in local businesses throughout Manly’s shopping precinct.

The boxes will be stocked with FREE reusable fabric shopping bags for customers to borrow when they forget to bring their own.

Simple borrow a bag when you need it most and return to a red BB box along with any extras you have at home.

The availability of free reusable bags reduces the amount of plastic materials entering our landfills and waterways and encourages a mentality of re-use in our community.

Excellent reading. I have always thought the blog was the thing enticing people to bb but some people swim without knowing there is a blog or I log. What do they make of people approaching them for photos

A very entertaining blog Pete, it’s got all the elements of a mystery novel, I love it! I especially like the part about the point moving south, great pick up and so true. I look forward in anticipation to your next instalment.
