The southerly’s arrived!

Today’s swim was a splash n dash for me. The swell was building and the bay was quite bumpy and churned up.
Everyone had to start from Shelly due to the surf carnival at manly beach. As I walked around to Shelly there was whitewash in the fairy bower pool and waves banging against the wall, plus a lone swimmer lapping up the bay.
water temperature was a pleasant 20 odd something at a guess.
I did spot some diamond fish as I swam a circle of the bay with Derek, water was actually coming halfway up Shelly beach.
